Lead-In Record Co.

Branding

Role: Design Lead & Creative Direction

Strategy: Mark Capapas

During the pandemic in 2020 the vinyl record industry saw a massive boom in sales, which in turn lead to the need for more vinyl production than ever before. It seemed as though every artist was pressing vinyl records for their merch, and with a serious lack of vinyl pressing plants in the country we started to see a huge back up of vinyl production, especially for independent artists. Lead-In Record co. came in as a solution to the problem of independent artists having to wait for absurd amounts of time for their records to get pressed while major artists like Adele and Taylor Swift got priority. Introducing new technology, and ran by an incredibly smart group of people, Lead-In is positioned to help make vinyl record pressing accessible to all while doing so with much faster lead times than their competition.

Taking inspiration from the mechanical side of the vinyl pressing process, this identity came together to represent speed, and technology with a modern approach.
